    Hi,

This blog is for members of St James Church, Leith, Edinburgh, to share content and comments relating to our life together. If you are a visitor, welcome.

Members are encouraged to post (i.e. write down your thoughts, add a picture) on this site. To keep the site secure, however, you will need to sign in before you do this. To sign in you will need to know the contributors’ username and password. This will be shared verbally in church services. Please don’t publish it anywhere.

A few rules to keep things happy:

    1. Aim for constructive comment. Please find a different forum if you need to complain.

    2. Write things that have content - stories, insights, reflections, poems, prayers. We don’t want to know if the boiler is broken!

    3. Respect confidentiality if you are writing about others, or sharing a photo. Remember, the blog can be viewed by anyone, anywhere.

    4. Get permission from children (and their parents) before publishing pictures of them, and make sure you don’t reveal their names.

    5. Please DO have a go. There are no prizes for spelling, or being clever!

Once you have logged in with the username and password, click on the word ‘Write’, and you are away. Choose a title. Write down your thoughts. Keep it shortish. ‘Publish’ will publish your words. Use the photo icon in the ‘Add media’ section to upload photos from your computer. Once you have clicked ‘Publish’, scroll to the top of the page to click ‘Visit Site’ to see what your post looks like. From there you can edit it, by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath. Keep fiddling until you like the look of it. Remember to ’sign’ your posts and comments by including your name at the end. Happy posting!

You can comment on others’ posts when logged in. Just click ‘Comment’ next to the Title.
